Monrovia, Liberia — The wife of the late Nimba County Senator, Prince Yormie Johnson, has broken her silence with shocking revelations, claiming that her husband died broke ,without any personal property, bank account, or financial assets despite serving over sixteen years in public office.

In an exclusive cellphone interview, Mrs. Ameria Boyidee Aridi Johnson described the late senator’s financial situation as dire, asserting that “he did not leave any money or property behind.” She dismissed widespread assumptions that Senator Johnson had accumulated wealth during his political career, saying, “There was nothing left for the children or the family.”

Mrs. Johnson further alleged that her relationship with the late senator began under troubling circumstances. She recounted that during the Liberian civil war in 1991, Senator Johnson kidnapped her and took her to Nigeria, where, according to her, the late Prophet T.B. Joshua advised him to marry her.

According to Mrs. Johnson, the only institutions associated with the senator’s name are two schools, a church, and the PYJ University. However, she claimed none of these properties are registered in the names of his children, and both the PYJ Educational Foundation and PYJ University reportedly lack active bank accounts.

She also revealed that the late senator fathered nine children outside their marriage, none of whom have been identified as beneficiaries of any property linked to him.

Senator Prince Yormie Johnson, a controversial figure in Liberian politics, rose to prominence during the civil war as a rebel leader before transforming into a politician and religious figure in Nimba County. He passed away earlier this year.
