    LIPO Boss Honored for Outstanding Leadership in Advancing Liberia’s IP Sector

    The Director General of the Liberia Intellectual Property Office (LIPO), Hon. Garmai Koboi, has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition and Honor by the civil society organization Citizens United for Better Liberia (CUBEL) for her exemplary leadership and significant contributions to the development of Liberia’s Intellectual Property (IP) ecosystem.

    The honor celebrates Hon. Koboi’s commitment to strengthening IP governance, promoting creativity and innovation, and empowering Liberian creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses through effective policy reforms, public awareness initiatives, and institutional growth.

    Presenting the award, CUBEL praised Hon. Koboi for her transformative leadership, noting that under her direction, LIPO has emerged as a key national institution driving innovation, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.

    The organization emphasized that her efforts have helped position Liberia as an active player in the regional and global IP landscape.

    In response, the LIPO family expressed heartfelt appreciation to CUBEL for the recognition and reaffirmed its commitment to working collaboratively with national and international stakeholders to build a vibrant, inclusive, and innovation-driven IP system that supports Liberia’s development goals.
